Jane Huang is an epidemiologist at the Sentinel Operations Center at the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute, where she acts as an investigator since 2016 on the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)'s Active Risk Identification and Analyses (ARIA) and the Innovation in Medical Evidence and Development Surveillance (IMEDS) program. On a daily basis, Jane co-leads drug safety and utilization studies with FDA members using the Sentinel System. She also contributes to various Sentinel workgroups, including the International Classification of Disease (ICD) transition in the Sentinel System, impact of design element changes in claims-base studies, propensity score stratification analysis reporting, and the recent interrupted time series functionality release etc. Jane has been a routine speaker at training sessions of the 2018 and 2019 Sentinel Public Workshops and the 2019 post-ICPE Training on Sentinel Tools at University of Pennsylvania. She is also the lead author of a distributed data network publication collaborating with members from the Canadian Network for Observational Drug Effect Studies (CNODES). Jane received her PhD in Pharmaceutical Health Services Research from the University of Maryland Baltimore.
