Tancy C. Zhang is a Sentinel Research Analyst in the Department of Population Medicine, Harvard Medical School and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute. Since 2018, she has been working on the FDA-sponsored Sentinel Initiative monitoring post-marketing drug safety and participating in industry-led research activities. Her interests lie in the area of evidence-based research - using real world evidence to facilitate effective public health communications.
Tancy completed her Master of Public Health at Boston University School of Public Health and her undergraduate studies in Human Biology and Nutritional Science at University of Toronto. During graduate school, she collaborated on methodological studies developing a qualitative data collection tool, designed to efficiently and accurately identify vaping exposures among adult and adolescent populations.
Currently working in the Sentinel Operations Center, Tancy’s day-to-day responsibilities involve and are not limited to programming SAS codes to translate research protocols into an executable program, leading study result discussions, and serving as the technical consultant in external-facing meetings to provide technical scope and recommendations.
