Dr. Oleske is Director in the Department of Global Epidemiology, AbbVie, North Chicago, IL, and Therapeutic Area Lead epidemiologist for neuroscience products across the drug life-cycle. As an expert in neuroscience epidemiology, she leverages multi-national medical claims data sets, electronic health care databases, and patient registries for assessing patient safety and for regulatory requests including PASS and PMRs. As a cross-disciplinary team leader, she advances strategies from linked real-world and genetics data to inform clinical trial decision-making, and provide new insight for safety assessments, and disease etiology. Prior to over 10 years in the biopharmaceutical section, she held various leadership positions in universities achieving rank of Professor. Throughout her career, she has conducted epidemiological research nationally and internationally focusing on health system factors for improving the health of populations. This perspective is reflected in her textbook, Epidemiology and the Delivery of Health Services, published over three editions. She has implemented training programs focused on topics of this book for health care professionals in China, Europe, Russian Federation, and US. Author of over 50 peer-reviewed publications and more recently of book chapters in Pharmacovigilance: A Practical Approach and Suicide: Phenomenology and Neurobiology. Dr. Oleske hold a in PhD (University of Illinois) and MSN (University of Michigan). She is a member of the Steering Committee of the North American Anti-Epileptic Drug Pregnancy Registry, Innovative Medicine Institute ConcePTION project, and ISPE Industry Council, and a Fellow, American College of Epidemiology, and Chair, Executive Advisory Board for the University of Illinois School of Public Health.
