Associate Professor Nishtala research expertise is in geriatric pharmacoepidemiology. He has mentored several postdoctoral fellows and supervised seven doctoral theses to completion in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. He has successful international collaborations with Christchurch (Big Data and Better Ageing Research Group, University of Otago, Christchurch) and researchers based at The University of Sydney, University of Queensland and Monash University. The research group positioned along the translational axis delivers high-quality research that has a considerable impact on medicines policy and practice. He is currently a core member of the Centre for Therapeutic Innovation at Bath, UK driving AI and data science to advance research in pharmacoepidemiology.
